Appointments

For some time now you have been telling us that you are unhappy for two reasons: -

1) You cannot make an appointment soon enough!

2) When you do get one you are often kept waiting in the surgery!

The first thing to say is that there is no magic solution to the problem of meeting the demand for appointments but we do recognise that you are not happy and we feel that we could be doing better.

Your requests fall into 3 broad categories: -

1) Planned appointments for routine reasons

2) More urgent matters that may, or may not, need to be seen on the day

3) Requests for advice and guidance

The GP’s will continue to respond to same day requests by phoning back and making an initial assessment. It is hoped that in this way we will be able to meet your needs a little better.
