When We Are Closed

We are closed Monday to Friday after 18:30 and before 08.30, Bank Holidays and weekends.

If you call the Practice number (0117 3015240/1) during these times you will be transferred. Our out of hours cover is provided by SBCH urgent care centre which is staffed by GP’s mainly from Bristol.

NHS111

If you need medical help when the surgery is closed, please call 111.  NHS 111 is a telephone advice line and signposting service for patients with urgent health problems, but who which do not need a call to 999.

When you call 111, a health advisor will ask you a number of questions to assess which service will best meet your healthcare needs. If you need immediate medical care they can arrange for you to talk to a nurse or doctor, make an appointment for you to see a doctor or refer you to an appropriate alternative healthcare service.

If you have difficulties communicating or hearing, you can use the NHS 111 service through a textphone by calling 18001 111. Calls are connected to the TextDirect system and the textphone will display messages to tell you what is happening. A Typetalk Relay Assistant will automatically join the call. They will talk back what you've typed to the NHS 111 advisor and, in return, type back the advisor’s conversation, so you can read it on your textphone's display or computer.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
